Through hands-on participation, the program encourages healthy living, environmental stewardship, and neighborhood engagement.
The mission of the Community Garden & Urban Farming Program is to strengthen community connections while promoting sustainable food practices and environmental responsibility.
The program includes:
- Shared Garden Plots: Residents grow fruits, vegetables, and herbs in designated community spaces.
- Sustainable Gardening Workshops: Learn composting, water conservation, and organic growing methods.
- Harvest Sharing & Community Events: Produce is shared among participants and donated to local food programs when available.
Plots are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
